Our valleys are anything but flat. Terraced lots, sloping yards, and cut banks run from the Grand Mesa down to the river bottoms, and a retaining wall is often the difference between usable ground and a hillside you fight with a mower.
We build retaining walls that do their real job — holding back soil and water — as well as looking good doing it. That starts below the surface: proper base preparation, drainage behind the wall so runoff and freeze-thaw don't push it out, and materials sized to the load. A wall that isn't drained and built for our winters will lean and fail; one that is will outlast the house.
