Boring insects are among the few pests that can kill an otherwise healthy tree, and by the time the damage shows — sawdust at the base, dead branches, a thinning crown — the borers are already established under the bark. The only reliable defense is prevention.
We apply preventative trunk treatments timed to the pest and the season, putting a barrier in place before boring insects can get in. It's the cheapest insurance there is against losing a mature tree that took decades to grow and can't be replaced in a season.
Trees under water stress are the most vulnerable, so we'll also talk through watering — a well-hydrated tree defends itself far better than a dry one.
